Champagne Cat had the privilege this morning of attending the 2021 Veterans Day Observance for the Dedication of “The Line” WASP Memorial, the 100th Anniversary of The Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, and the Swearing in of New Recruits to the United States Army, Presented by the Montgomery County Veterans Memorial Commission, Montgomery County Chapters of the Daughters of the American Revolution, and Eastex Detachment 779 Marine Corps League. The Line is a monument that features names of all United States Military Veterans Who Honorably Served or Active Duty Service Members From 1775 to the Present. The Honorable U.S. Representative Kevin Brady among others presented honors, including presentment of WWII POW Veteran Mr. George Waters, U.S. Army Air Corps. and Judge Jimmie C. Edwards, III, Chairman, USMC. It is truly an honor to hear about the experiences of these and many others who have sacrificed so much for freedom. Personally, we honor my Uncle, a WWII POW in Bataan and now in Heaven.
